Shepherd's Gate is a Christian long-term residential program for women and children suffering from homelessness, poverty, addiction or domestic violence. Our program helps women with every aspect of their lives - physical, spiritual, and emotional as well as finances, legal issues, education and parenting. We also have a whole program for the babies and older children who are overcoming trauma and are striving to succeed in school. Family reunification is important part of our program. We are blessed to offer transitional housing after graduation and a full alumni support program. Shepherd's Gate was founded in 1984 and is privately funded by individuals, family foundations, churches and companies. In today's economy, we received over 150 phone calls a month from women who are desperate to find long-term solutions. We have a 82% success rate of our graudates. The local community supports our thriving thrift store located in Livermore. We have two beautiful campuses in Livermore and Brentwood, California.
