Divorce and family violence is on the increase. In most cases, financial abuse is a key reason for victims not being able to leave their abusive relationships. Even for those of us that are able to leave our relationships, many of us find ourselves financially disadvantaged for many years after. It’s an after effect of divorce for women that is stressful, isolating and it can feel extremely defeating.
