Shifting Horizons

Shifting Horizons is based on decades of research with developmental theory, as well as practical experience in developmental coaching. It relies on the life work of Emeritus Professor William Torbert and others in the field of adult development in the context of leadership and organisations. Shifting Horizons is a useful and valuable tool for anyone interested in exploring their developmental stage and transformational capacity. It touches on three fundamental aspects of seeing the world and making sense of it: oneself, one’s relationships, and the systems one is part of. Our aim is to have more accessible and fun developmental tools when it comes to language, price, and ways of talking about development. It is offered in English, Portuguese and Finnish. Shifting Horizons automated qualities and affordable price offers the possibility to do profiles at scale and use them as part of large development programmes. Through individual profiles, becoming a learning facilitator, and our Onboarding Programmes, you get to learn how to use the profile with your clients or employees and become a member of our global coLAB -learning community. The aim of the Shifting Horizons self-assessment is to offer a lighter way to explore one’s vertical development journey. The development of Shifting Horizons tool is informed by the extensive experience of the four organizations, Amara Collaboration, Chie Integrates, Action Research + and Dana Carman Integral Consulting in developmental work with individuals, teams, and organizations. The individuals in the team behind the tool are certified and familiar with several different vertical development sentence scored assessments.
