SHIFT Cycling Safety

Through the SHIFT project, we are dedicated to supporting the Irish government's Climate Action Plan 2023 by promoting a shift towards sustainable transport, particularly for school routes. We do this by measuring moments of stress experienced by cyclists and providing valuable insights into how infrastructure and traffic conditions affect perceived road safety. With these insights, we aim to inform the development of cyclist-friendly infrastructure, such as dedicated bike lanes and traffic-calming measures, to create a more inviting and less stressful environment for cyclists.
