Shilongo Research Custodian's Foundation (SRCF)

(SRCF) is a Youth-led and newly established non-profit Association in Namibia that wishes to impact and change peoples’ lives by creating a sustainable environment for research growth, education & development.And further claim their place and space in all spheres of life through powerful research information, empowerment, skills development, and providing the necessary resources with effective contribution to policy formulation and mentorship across the nation. The association primarily caters to all people of society, through the creation of a sound social, cultural, and educational environment targeted to meet the needs of the local community. Our focus is to mobilize communities towards sustainable and extensive research growth & development. For the longest, the country has seen ineffective policy responses to alarming issues. This is because, Namibia, just like the globe is facing a data crisis which puts the country’s policymakers in a predicament resulting in under-informed policy formulations/ suggestions and recommendations. There’s a need to address the data crisis in order to influence policies and improve the living standards of inhabitants. At Shilongo Research Custodian’s Foundation we believe in the transformation from poverty to hope, obstacles to opportunities, and from oppression to triumph through research education. This will be achieved through the creation of new knowledge and/or the use of existing knowledge in a new and creative way so as to generate new concepts, methodologies and understandings.The association endeavors to deepen the sense of patriotism and teamwork spirit, support the most promising creators and innovators amongst the youth and promote their talents and creativity as a national resource that should be nurtured, invest in human capital development programs as well as work actively on the positive integration of disabled children, previously disadvantaged, vulnerable children and development in the various communities.
