Shining Spiral

Shining Spiral- the first Waldorf initiative of Gujarat is a place for those parents who are looking for a space that nurtures childhood, reveres the child and where the child is the curriculum for the teacher. A calm, unobtrusive space where the child can 'BE' what s/he is without any pressure, comparison, judgement or push. KINDERGARTEN YEARS: Children need a SAFE, KNOWN environment which is essentially GOOD A SLOW PACE that allows the child to grow at his/her own pace. Non-stimulating, calming with natural materials around. Zero SCREEN exposure. Regular routines. Healthy sleep and food. Conscious Adults around. PRIMARY SCHOOL YEARS: Well-designed curriculum and methodology. A wide exposure- Apart from regular subjects children learn to play Music, Handwork (knitting, crochet, sewing,etc.), Painting, Eurythmy, Gardening, Wood work, Clay work, Metal work, Astronomy, Sports, Drama. Equal weightage given to all subjects. Learning happens through MOVEMENTS and by building IMAGINATION. By connecting the content to the body and by stirring the emotions in the child. Learning the 3 languages- English, Hindi and Gujarati from Grade 1 onwards.
