In order to achieve the above goals, we implement a combination of testing, diagnosis, dietary guidance, sanitation guidelines, medical and psychological monitoring and support in real time and worldwide. We are a team of physicians of different specialties based in Greece and supported by a web of specialists and medical centers in Greece and globally, mainly concentrated in main shipping hubs with regional cover.

A. PRE-EMPLOYMENT EVALUATION & PREVENTION
1. Exercise due diligence on pre joining medical examinations according to ‘Flag’, or company instructions.
2. Establishing re-employment prerequisites following serious illness (hospitalization, operation etc.)

4. Alcoholism and general health evaluation by blood testing (when feasible).

B. VESSELS-SEAFARER MED CARE
1. 24/7 Consultation by telemedicine (tele-EKG, oximeter, blood pressure, temperature, picture, sound).
2. ShipMedCare medical team in collaboration with Team of Specialists.
3. 2nd Opinion – Surveillance of medical reports and management of patient (ShipMedCare medical team in collaboration with medical centers in major ports).
4. Follow up of patient/case and guidance for further medical actions if needed.
5. Cooperation with P&I for follow-up of medical claims.
6. Medical information by bulletins, CD, DVD.
7. Dietary protocol for seafarers.
8. Surveillance and control of medical expenses (port med. examinations, hospitalization etc.).
