Shomang Constructions

Shomang Construction formerly known as Sunrise Electrical is family owned business based in Johannesburg and was founded in 1996 by husband and wife Morris and Mapula Ramatapa. They had a strong desire to better their community and bring forth change in South Africa through the construction industry. The very first project that Shomang Construction embarked on was that of a primary school, which spearheaded the company into the construction industry. Over the past 22 years the company has gained a reputable status that has seen Shomang develop and grow into a company that offers electrical, building and civil services to government schools, clinics, prisons libraries, community halls and other infrastructure. The company is 100% black owned and managed and 50% black women-owned and is also a level 1 BBBEE contributor. We are registered with the CIDB as a level 8GPE (General Building),8CE PE (Civil Engineering), 8SB Ashphalt Works, 6EB PE and 7EB PE. The company has a good standing with the Electrical Contracting Board and the National Home Builders Registration Council (NHBRC).
