The Showering family has been making award-winning Somerset cider for over 180 years. The family’s ambition for Showerings, their first Triple Vintage, is simple – to make the best cider in the world. Showerings is a cider for all seasons that serves with distinction as an aperitif or as the perfect dining companion. The expertly tuned balance of sharp and sweet can accent the qualities of any dish, from starter through cheese board and beyond. Showerings uses aromatic late-season Dabinett apples from a single award-winning orchard in Somerset, the temperate heartland of British cidermaking and just seven miles from Showering’s cider mill. Cherished for their perfect balance of sugars and tannins, these apples are nurtured by an expert horticulturalist and harvested once a year and only at the point of perfect ripeness. Each batch of cider is allowed to sit and settle for a minimum of four months, to soften the sharper acidic edges. Cold filtration ensures that the final cider is gluten-free and unsullied by artificial sweeteners or colourings. Each Showerings vintage is allowed to arrive at its natural ABV, determined by the sweetness of the apples.
