SHPE USC, established in 1975, was the first nationwide Student Chapter.
Chapter Mission: To stand as a presence that is admired and followed by other diversity organizations thanks to its outstanding development of Latinx engineers that would heavily influence the world around them. It is our vision to serve as a model to other organizations at the University of Southern California where underrepresented students can find a home away from home.
Chapter Vision: To help our members overcome the obstacles faced by underrepresented Latinx engineering students. It is our mission to prepare our members to tackle the most challenging problems in the world of STEM through motivation, inspiration, and empowerment.
