"Phoenix" brand originated in 1897 and in 1993 Shanghai Phoenix Bicycle Co., Ltd. took shape as a state-owned enterprise. In 2010 private capital "Meile Group" invested in and Phoenix has developed at high speed since then. Phoenix has 3 manufacturing bases in Tianjin, Guangzhou, and Danyang, Jiangsu. Phoenix's headquarter locates in Shanghai.
As to supply-chain layout, Phoenix has its own factories of spoke, rim, and alloy frame in the same facility compound.
At the end of 2021, in the Danyang base, one professional engineering and R&D team have been organized and a new manufacturing facility had been built especially for e-bikes. The new ebike workshop is seperated from bike manufacturing.
