In the year 2007, a humble group of like minded friends formed Shrigandha Kannada Balaga in a software company in Bangalore. In pursuit of serving the society. The beneficiaries were mostly from rural sector.
Though the team started with one school in the year 2008, by 2015, team had accelerated to six schools through notebook donation drives. It had also diversified its activities to impart training to the teachers, organizing science workshops and providing career counselling to the rural students.
An official entity, SHRIGANDHA FOUNDATION came into inception on 6th March 2021.
Currently, the number of beneficiary schools have grown to 35 for the year 2022-2023 and on the rise further.
Shrigandha Foundation (R) has spread its wings in Bangalore, Chikkaballapura, Shivamogga, Chikkamagalur, Udupi, Mangalore, Raichur, Davanagere and Mysore districts.
With a strong intent to serve larger group of beneficiaries, the foundation is steadily marching towards the intended mission, "Building a self-sustainable society"/"ಸಶಕ್ತ ಸಮಾಜದ ನಿರ್ಮಾಣ".
