Experts in the field of genetic testing. SIA GenEra was founded on 26.06.2001 and we are specialising in molecular genetics testing. SIA GenEra is a certified diagnostic laboratory, and it is registered with the Register of Medical Institutions of the Health Inspectorate of the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Latvia with number 019268301. Since 2014, the laboratory is accredited according to the requirements of the LVS EN ISO 15189:2013 standard in the field of molecular biological testing of human material. The laboratory offers diagnostic and risk assessment medical DNA tests – paid both by individuals and by the NHS. The laboratory carries out paternity DNA testing: both legally valid and anonymous. The laboratory employs three certified private court experts with the field of expertise “Determination of DNA Genotype of Human Biological Material”. SIA GenEra is the only laboratory in Latvia, which offers private leggally valid paternity DNA tests. We have up-to-date equipment that allows us to perform analyzes from one single polymorphism or mutation detection for routine tests, to a broad range of personalized gene panels, whole & clinical exome, or whole genome analyzes for the needs of medical institutions and patients. Gene panels, whole & clinical exome, or whole genome analyzes are performed for patients with a doctor referral. Also - innovation in Latvia - we now offer veterinary DNA testing for dogs and cats. We perform various DNA tests both for genetic diseases and coat - color traits and patterns.
