The Society for Innovation, Development and Medical Education – SideMED is a non-profit, non-governmental and apolitical organization, founded and based in Târgu Mures, Romania, which under the supervision of the “George Emil Palade” University of Medicine, Pharmacy, Science, and Technology of Târgu Mures has as the long term goal improving the quality of medical services. It also offers extracurricular education for medical students and young doctors, encompassing basic and advanced skill sets, both theoretical and practical.
SideMED’s activity is based on volunteering, allowing its members to express their passion for medicine. The events are designed to blend both theoretical and practical aspects in order for all participants to develop a steadfast medical mindset.
