Established in 1985, Silex Ltd has grown to become one of the UK’s leading manufacturers of silicone-based products. In addition, it holds the country’s largest stock of sponge and solid sheeting including FDA Sponge and Metal Detectable options; consequently, Silex is able to offer typical delivery times of one week on stock product. It’s German subsidiary, MVQ Silicones GmbH, was set up in 2002 and, together, the two companies now serve the needs of some of the biggest brands worldwide. The Group’s products are used by customers across a diverse cross-section of industry, including automotive/F1, transport, pharmaceutical, energy, food, aerospace, rail, mechanical engineering and domestic appliance sectors. Silex and MVQ stock only the highest quality silicone compounds and products from Rogers Corp, Wacker Chemie, Dow Corning, Momentive and Elkem. Certified ISO 9001 companies, the Group is able to deliver extremely high-quality products to tight tolerances, supplying silicones to UL94 V0, FDA, WRAS, KTW, BFR XV and USP Class VI standards to name a few.
