Silicon Steel Technologies (SST) purchased all rights to IP for adding nano additives to steel for delivering high efficiency Electrical Steels from the Metallurgical Institute of the Russian Academy of Sciences (RAS). SST commissioned former RAS scientists and metallurgists along with leading technologists from USA & EU to develop the worlds first manufacturing process for Silicon Steels to use modern and efficient thin slab casting processes.
The technology was proven out with the German equipment manufacturer SMS Siemag and is the foundation of the steel miill at Osceola, AR - Big River Steel.
