Silid Aralan, Inc. (SAI) is a non-government organization that reaches out to academically-challenged public school students in the Philippines. It aims to develop LOVE FOR LEARNING to students.
SAI was founded in April 12, 2007 by Arcie Mallari and Marc Licaros. The pilot learning center was built at Montalban, Rizal, the hometown of Arcie.
SAI started with 40 kids from Kasiglahan Village Elementary School.
In 2009, in partnership with Smart Communications, Inc., SAI has shared its learning technology to key cities and provinces around the Philippines including Cebu, Davao, Bohol, CDO, Bataan, Pampanga, Baguio, Dumaguete, GenSan and here in Manila.
In 2010, SAI had already catered to more than 1000 academically-challenged students in Montalban alone, both elementary and high school students.
At present, SAI has 9 learning hubs across the Philippines.
