SIMAA was founded in 2011 by three University of London BSc (Hons) Accounting and Finance undergraduates with the primary aim of boosting the confidence and image of its members in the accounting industry. SIMAA will actively seek out opportunities to collaborate with professional institutions so as to provide the greatest amount of exposure and networking opportunities for its members. Members of the SIMAA are made up of accounting, banking and business students who are keen to explore the prospects of a career in the accounting field.
Mission:
To enhance accounting students’ awareness and opportunities through:-
(i) Establishing a professional image;
(ii) Forming partnerships with accounting firms and bodies; and
(iii) Promoting cohesiveness within the community of accounting and finance
students.
Vision:
To be a dynamic student community where members can benefit from mutual sharing of knowledge and experience, which facilitates greater collaboration opportunities with professionals of the accounting industry.
