SIMPACT Consulting Group is an organization led by SI-MBA students that provides pro bono consulting services to interested clients in Chittenden County and the surrounding region. Our mission is to provide recommendations through a sustainability lens, for challenges faced by business. Sustainability is defined as development that meets the needs of the present without compromising the ability of future generations to meet their own needs, and that is precisely what we intend to help businesses do. SIMPACT’s vision is to promote sustainable business practices and challenge the status quo of business operations, while also allowing students to gain experience and put into practice the knowledge gained from the University of Vermont Sustainable Innovation MBA program. Focus areas: - Gap assessment - Digital media strategy - Environmental assessment (Waste stream analysis and Carbon analysis) - Sustainable business development (Corporate social responsibility, Circular design and B-Corp certification guidance) - Sustainability reporting strategy
