SimpleTech

SimpleTech was founded in 1990 under the name Simple Technology as a reseller of computer memory. Within a few years, the company had established its own branded line of solid-state (flash) drives, dynamic random-access memory (DRAM), and static random-access memory (SRAM). In 1995, Simple Technology deputed in Inc. magazine's annual list of the 500 fastest-growing privately held companies in the United States, placing in the 13th spot and topping all other computer industry companies. Simple Technology made Inc.'s list based on its 7,794% growth between 1990 and 1994, when revenue jumped to $98.7 million from $1.3 million. The company projected revenue to hit $210 million that year. After a series of acquisitions, the company went public as Simple Techology in 2000 and shortened its name to SimpleTech in 2001. SimpleTech sold its consumer products division (which now included USB flash drives, and external and portable disk drives) to Fabrik in February 2007. Fabrik acquired SimpleTech’s brand to integrate and deliver backup and content management software and web services (FabrikUltimateBackup.com and Joggle.com), allowing consumers to store, access, manage and share their digital content.
