Most financial advisors simply sell a managed account solution, push some product, or manage your portfolio as if they are in their own little worlds. Then most tax preparers pump out your return and you don't think about them for a year. For over a decade, we intentionally developed these interconnected skillsets and acquired the CFP, CFA, EA in order to bring that all "in house" for our clients - As a CFA, we can run a portfolio, as an EA, we file tax returns, and as the CFP we ensure "the band is all playing the same song" We make clients lives simpler by giving them one person to go to for all of their financial needs. This is also exactly what adds real value financially to the plan - Take a Roth Conversion for example. Often most advisors recommendation ends at, "Convert maybe up to your next marginal tax bracket but I can't say for sure because I'm not the tax guy" while the tax preparer often doesn't really understand the broader context of a the financial plan.
