Hi, I'm Corinne Pritchard, Director of Simply Understand. I am a mediator and translator: not of languages but of complexity. My skills are multidisciplinary. I have a Masters in Information Design which has equipped me to communicate complex subjects with all due attention to usability, user experience, layout, typography, through both print and online media. My dissertation dealt with public understanding of graphics using mathematical representations, and we also covered wayfinding and wayshowing in public areas. I also have over a decade of experience in web design and content creation, from helping young entrepreneurs bootstrap their businesses to producing world class, easily understandable medical and scientific information for one of the UK's largest charities. In 2013 I project managed the digital assets for No Smoking Day, including a game which got 30,000 uses in the first two weeks. My infographics have featured in the Daily Mail, press conferences for the British Heart Foundation, Parliamentary magazines and Department of Health publications. My copy editing skills have simplified publications for the Department of Business, Information and Skills and the Office of Fair Trading, increasing public engagement. I have taken on a wide range of subjects from the benefits system, international poverty, political history, and science, and I am always looking for further challenges.
