Our greater mission is to fund STEM (Science Technology Engineering Math) programs with our profits. The idea started when our founder Sheila was sending her daughter off to college. Her daughter wanted to cook the occasional Indian meal without buying 100 different spices. And the Simply Masala concept was born - a variety of kits with pre-measured spices and step-by-step recipes. Word spread and Simply Masala quickly gained a fan club at her college and beyond!
But we wanted to be more than a spice kit business. Sheila's vision was to emulate @newmansowncompany by donating profits to help underrepresented communities gain access to STEM programs, which are a pathway to economic freedom and opportunities.
