Simtek UK Ltd was founded by Jay and Ginny Simkins in 1999.
We are specialists in the design and production of integrated systems; a vehicle constructor can have us develop a system which allows all their disparate components to function effectively as a whole. We can also provide guidance on other aspects using knowledege gained from over 30 years experience of building electrical systems for vehicles. We are renowned for our 'can-do' hands-on approach to solving our client's vehicle electrical system problems and, in particular, for the technical knowledge and experience of Jay Simkins.
Simtek UK has a range of generic control solutions (BodyLogic TM) which has developed into a significant range of powerful chassis control solutions for road-going vehicles ranging from trikes up to fully-spec'ed luxury sports cars. These controllers, coupled with Simtek's harness design and manufacturing facilities, the company has a one-stop shop for the low volume vehicle builder's electrical and electronic requirements.
Over a decade ago, Simtek UK collaborated with Specialist Components in developing the BodyLogic Diesel Engine management System for the larger commonrail diesel engines, resulting in a stand-alone programmable ECU package which successfully controls the modern commonrail diesel engines such as Landrover/Jaguar TDV6 engines (Ford Lion etc), BMW N57, Mercedes OM642, Ford Puma Engines and many more. We have supplied and remotely supported many projects around the world.
