Sindhi Language Authority is an autonomous institution governed by a Board of Governors. Its administrative department is the Department of Culture and Tourism, Government of Sindh. The first Board of Governors was constituted under the Chairmanship of renowned scholar and writer Dr. Nabi Bakhsh Khan Baloch in 1991. Since the establishment of Sindhi Language Authority, different scholars and writers have been appointed as its Chairpersons from time to time, who contributed at their best for the development and promotion of Sindhi Language.
