Singapore India Hackathon

Singapore-India Hackathon 2023 was launched on March 13, 2023, in New Delhi by Shri Dharmendra Pradhan, India's Minister of Education, Skill Development and Entrepreneurship and Mr Gan Kim Yong, Singapore’s Minister for Trade and Industry. The final of the Singapore-India Hackathon 2023 will be held as a part of India’s G20 Presidency in Gandhinagar, Gujarat on the side lines of the G20 Finance Ministers’ meeting from 14-17 July to foster bilateral cooperation between the students and start-ups of Singapore and India in Fintech, Sustainability and ESG. Singapore-India Hackathon 2023 is organised by the Nanyang Technological University, Singapore and the Indian Ministry of Education All India Council for Technical Education in partnership with the Monetary Authority of Singapore, Confederation of Indian Industries, Enterprise Singapore, SGInnovate, Singapore Fintech Festival, Start Up India and IIT Gandhinagar. Since its inception in 2018, Singapore-India Hackathon has established itself as a leading platform for fostering linkages between the young innovators in science, technology, and entrepreneurship of Singapore and India to find solutions to the critical global challenges of our times. Indian Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi & former Singapore Education Minister, Mr. Ong Ye Kung were present at the Hackathon Award Ceremony in 2018 and 2019. Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Singapore Deputy Prime Minister are expected to attend and give awards. 12 student teams comprising of 2 Indian and 2 Singaporean students each will compete in-person for a 36 hour Hackathon on 14-15 July at IIT Gandhinagar, Gujarat, India. 12 global startups will compete in-person on 15 July at IIT Gandhinagar, Gujarat, India. Prizes will be awarded on 16-17 July.
