Sir Adamjee Institute (SAI) shaped into reality the longing of the Pakistan Memon Educational and Welfare Society (PMEWS) to provide a mass section of society the basic right to get education. PMEWS, constituted on January 26, 1955 was a continuation of All India Memon Educational and Welfare Society formed in 1933.
For PMEWS, the singular purpose of providing high quality education to the deserving and talented sections of society saw new light with its collaboration with the Commecs Educational Trust when it was decided to launch an Intermediate (Commerce) programme in 2004 in the first phase followed by Pre-Engineering in 2005 and Pre-Medical in 2006. It goes to credit of highly qualified and dedicated teaching staff that the college achieved 100% result in its first appearance at BIE Annual Examinations. The college, since then has maintained its reputation and has emerged as one of the premier institution of Karachi. SAI is an everlasting tribute and acknowledgment to a great visionary of the sub- continent, Sir Adamjee Haji Dawood.
