SIRCEA is a nonprofit research centre dedicated to advancing artificial intelligence in Eastern Africa with safety, ethics, and responsibility at its core. Our work focuses on ensuring that AI technologies are developed, deployed, and scaled in ways that are secure, trustworthy, and beneficial to society.
We conduct applied research on AI safety, build practical frameworks for ethical development, and support local innovation through training, certification, and knowledge sharing.
