A new LEONARDO-FINMECCANICA company.
Sistemi Dinamici (SD) was established on 2006 as an Engineering Company between Ingegneria dei Sistemi S.p.A. (IDS, 60%) and Agusta Westland (AW, 40%) for supporting AW in its business for product innovation.
Starting on 2012 SD has progressively turned its business from system engineering to design, manufacturing and flight testing of a 150 kg Rotary wing based Remotely Piloted Aircraft Systems (RPAS) called SD-150 HERO.
On December, 23, 2016 LEONARDO-FINMECCANICA got the full control of SD company by purchasing all the shares previously held by Ingegneria dei Sistemi, IDS.
Main field of activities are:
- Design, Development, Manufacturing and Operation of Remoted Pilot Aircraft Systems
- Design and development of software and models for the simulation of: rotor aerolasticity, helicopters flight mechanics, aerodynamics and flight control systems;
- Design and development of systems: for supporting wind tunnel aerodynamic testing, active reduction of airframe vibrations, for flight control systems for rotary wing aircraft.
