Sisters Support is a vibrant and empowering peer-led network dedicated to providing emotional, cultural, and leadership support to African and CALD women facing challenges related to domestic and family violence, trauma, youth justice issues, and community leadership. Our organization aims to create a safe and supportive space for women to come together, share experiences, and uplift one another. At Sisters Support, we host a variety of events and initiatives to cater to the diverse needs of our members. From our monthly social gatherings in Moorooka where women can connect and exchange ideas, to our weekly mothers' group focused on identifying and advocating for the needs of the community, we strive to build resilience and empower women to navigate challenging circumstances. Our mission is rooted in the belief that by uniting diverse women and providing them with the tools and support they need, we can collectively combat domestic violence, amplify their voices, and foster positive relationships and well-being. Through mutual collaboration and a commitment to inclusion, we aim to boost confidence and build a sense of hope among women facing adversity. We are proud to collaborate with esteemed partners such as Support Groups Qld, Inala Community House, Queensland African Communities Council, and South PHN. Their support and shared vision enable us to expand our reach, enhance our impact, and work towards a more just and supportive community for all women. Together, we are on a journey to advocate for change, promote empowerment, and create a brighter future for women in need.
