FOR COMPANIES: Counsel leaders (e.g., board members, CEOs, CFOs) on best positioning their companies for Wall Street. Examples include shaping company narratives for investors (e.g., analyst meetings, earnings calls); optimizing capital structures and financing; evaluating M&A (e.g., divestitures, acquisitions, new ventures); triaging activists / short seller attacks, and adverse news events; and managing investor relations. FOR INSTITUTIONAL INVESTORS: Advise professional investors on fund management, asset allocation, and investment policies / monitoring. Activities include using game theory to design questions for management and industry experts to reveal underlying trends relevant to the investment thesis; incorporating Porter’s Five Forces to understand differentiation; picking the right stocks within the context of stock market volatility, driven by ETFs, quant funds, and other external forces; functioning as external director of research to navigate Wall Street pressures and manage research relationships; and drawing on GAAP accounting to unveil underlying trends.
