Skathi Entertainment Pvt. Ltd. is a private music and entertainment company that was established in 2017 and officially registered in 2023. Originally set up in Bhote Bahal inside the studio of a native Blues veteran, Skathi began its venture into recording and sound engineering services for artists, with the intent of focusing particularly on developing young artists’ technical and artistic skills in music. Over the years, Skathi diversified its services into event and artist management, voiceovers, commercial and corporate work, ADR recording, podcasts and more to build the company’s sustainability, eventually shifting the studio to Dallu, and most recently to Bafal. Over the years, Skathi has executed several initiatives, with GOD IS A WOMAN standing out as its most significant achievement to date. This groundbreaking platform, Nepal's first dedicated exclusively to females in HipHop, debuted last year as a concert with support from the British Council. This year, it evolved into a large-scale festival with significant support from the Embassy of Switzerland, and additional support from Alliance Française. Emboldened by the strides taken to first establish a firm repertoire as an innovative young company with big ideas and resourceful moves, Skathi has recognized the need to address critical knowledge gaps in Nepal’s music and entertainment industry. In response, it has sharpened its focus on developing a comprehensive Artist Development blueprint that equips talent with the skills and strategies needed to build impactful, sustainable careers. By fostering a fair and collaborative ecosystem, Skathi ensures that artists and industry professionals alike are valued for their contributions. Its mission is to strengthen the industry’s foundation, promote balanced representation across genders and backgrounds, and enable Nepali music to leave a mark on the global stage.
