The Central Depository & Clearing Company Inc. (SKDD/CDCC) was founded on 18 April 1997. The SKDD is a company which operates as a central securities depository and a registry of dematerialized securities, where data on issuers, securities, securities accounts, securities holders and other legally required data is kept in the form of electronic record. The SKDD performs its business operations primarily pursuant to the Capital Market Act, and its work is supervised by the Croatian Financial Services Supervisory Agency, pursuant to the Act on the Croatian Financial Services Supervisory Agency. The SKDD provides depository services, clearing and settlement services, and other services. SKDD ACTIVITIES/SERVICES: • Manages the central depository of dematerialized securities • Performs the tasks of managing the central register of financial instruments • Manages the clearing and settlement system of securities transactions on a regulated market and the multilateral trading facility or outside the regulated market and the multilateral trading facility (OTC transactions) • Performs services related to corporate actions • Performs the activities of storing shares in procedures by taking over joint stock companies • Performs payment operations from non-materialized securities as well • Performs trustee services • Defines unique identification codes of dematerialized securities (ISIN and CFI codes)
