Automation, AI, and new-collar jobs are presenting new challenges, but more importantly, extraordinary opportunities. Unfortunately, the skill set required to thrive in this emerging landscape isn't typically covered in traditional classrooms. As a single mother of two teens, I recognized this gap during the pandemic and was inspired to create SkillMate - a web platform designed to empower the next generation in an uncertain future. SkillMate provides accessible, engaging, and real-world relevant lessons aimed to equip kids with the human skills -- such as recognizing their strengths & triggers, understanding their self-motivation, and discovering their purpose -- they'll need for life-long learning and success. Our bite-sized modules allow them to explore and apply these skills in their everyday lives, bridging the gap between the classroom and a rapidly changing world. At SkillMate, we don't want the next generation to merely survive the future - we want them to be the leaders, pioneers, and innovators driving innovation and opportunity.
