Skills4Justice - Horizon Europe

This project aims to develop systemic analysis of skills shortages in 5 EU countries (France, Germany, Italy, Poland and Lithuania) and 6 non-EU countries (Ethiopia, North Macedonia, Norway, Turkey, UK, Ukraine) in the context of the global workforce migration by providing research-based evidence on the nature and development of skill shortages as well as on the potential of different skills partnerships to tackle these shortages in the countries of origin and destination of migrants. The project objectives are as follows: (1) Enhance EU migration governance by matching analyses of skills shortages in the EU and in non-EU countries. (2) Provide tools to decision-makers to navigate skill shortages in EU labour markets. (3) Present an overview of the trade-offs of filling shortages with migrant workforce vis-à-vis other alternatives such as education/local - and re upskilling/automation.
