Skinprints is a Life Casting company, specialising in pregnancy casts and casts of baby’s hands and feet. Casts are performed using alginate which is capable of producing highly detailed moulds. Every wrinkle and goose bump is captured by the alginate, however if you prefer these can be sanded to a smooth finish after casting. Alginate is derived from seaweed and have been used for many years in the dentist industry. It is considered non-hazardous and safe for oral use. It has been used and is considered safe for use on human skin. Pieces are then cast from these moulds using Plaster of Paris to create a unique 3D sculptural replica of your body. To finish your piece you have the option of choosing from a variety of surface decorations. Skinprints also create one off sculptural works of art.
