Chinese Arts & Cultural Secretariat of USM

The Chinese Arts and Cultural Secretariat of USM (USM SKKT) has a main mission of inheriting and promoting activities related to the Chinese culture. USM SKKT, which was founded in 2013, has two core purposes, to consolidate the distinguishing features of the Chinese culture as well as to transmit the profound and good traditions. Grounded on the National Educational Philosophy, USM SKKT aims to develop individuals in an integrated manner and train more H.E.B.A.T. undergraduates, i.e. holistic, entrepreneur, balance, articulate, thinking, who portrays excellent performance in logical thinking, intelligence quotient (IQ), emotional intelligence (EQ), adversity quotient (AQ), moral intelligence quotient (MQ) and fitness. To encourage the development of arts, USM SKKT provides an ideal platform for students to strengthen and enhance their knowledge about the Chinese arts and culture. In this era of globalization, USM SKKT reinforces the public’s knowledge about the traditional arts and culture through various activities, exhibitions and performances to preserve the Chinese culture and arts.
