Skyentific - affordable and functional robotic arms

Thanks to our human arms we are capable to interact with the physical world. As humans, we developed science, technology and artificial intelligence. Our goal is to give robotic arms to artificial intelligence in order to free humans from their repetitive tedious work. The robotic arms have existed since 1959, currently being used mainly for assembly lines. The robotic arms for consumers have started to develop since 2010. Most of these arms use very cheap and simple servo motors, which makes them just a toy and nothing more. Recently, cheap and yet functional arms start to emerge (Dorna, Dobot, Niryo One). All of them have limited capabilities (small working space, small payload, low precision, 5 or less degrees-of-freedom). Industrial arms (Kuka, Universal Robotics etc.) are extremely expensive starting at 30k CHF for basic models. Their most expensive components are motors and motor drivers, reducers (harmonic drive) and bearings (cross-roller bearings). Skyentific is developing an affordable 7 degrees-of-freedom robotic arm. Our innovative design is based on 3 main elements: - Inexpensive motors. - Other type of reducers. - Reduced number of cross-roller bearings. We are convinced that with the development of artificial intelligence we going to use robots for any repetitive work. Thanks to our robotic arms humans will do only interesting and challenging work.
