Skylight

Skylight was a startup focused on providing its customers with hand crafted goods made out of recycled rice straw. Skylight's underlying mission was to support Egypt's efforts to reduce the emission of pollutants from the harvest and burning of rice straw in underserved villages which has contributed to various lung related diseases in these areas. Every product was beautifully hand crafted, designed and printed by our partners at 'Darb1718', an NGO aimed to support, cultivate and sustain the Egyptian contemporary art movement. Skylight aimed to combine environmental, social and cultural values by: 1) Preserving Egypt's Environment 2) Empowering Disabled Women 3) Promoting Islamic & Contemporary Visual Art
