Skypoint Solar’s business is the manufacture of thin film PV panels using recently available turnkey production platforms employing both thin-film Copper Indium Gallium Selenide (“CIGS”) and amorphous/ microcrystalline thin-film silicon (TFS) technologies from major vendors. The Company intends to further diversify its technology base with a parallel development program in flexible CIGS solar cells and laminates. This strategy will enable Skypoint to expand its manufacturing in 2-3 years with superior products of improved performance and lower cost, thus lowering the risk of technological obsolescence.
Product will be sold into utility-scale (10-100 MW) power parks. Skypoint has the option of being (in conjunction with tax equity investors) the sole, or co-developer/owner. This vertical integration strategy can mitigate pricing pressure, augmenting direct market sales.
