SLAC (Steam the light for African communities) Uganda is a community-based organization founded in 2019 by William Prosper in Kibaale District in rural Western Uganda. The partner organization of the German n. e. V. bears the same name.
The western region of Uganda is mainly populated by subsistence farmers and characterized by extreme poverty. This poverty, although successfully reduced over the last twenty years, continues to define the lives of most residents.
To fight it, SLAC offers an alternative educational concept that encourages and challenges innovative individuals. We prove that it is possible to achieve sustainable development by finding the driving force of each individual.
