Slashie Connects

Slashies are generally members of the millennial demographic, who choose to include various ‘side hustles’ in their professional titles to which they devote their time—in addition to their nine-to-five. We celebrate "non-traditional" career paths and seek to redefine professional success. Our goal is to create a diverse, collaborative space amongst creatives and enthusiasts who want to be a part of the South-Asian Slashie movement. Founded in 2018, the Slashie Connects team hosts collaborative events year-round and we recently wrapped up our 2023 SXSW debut in Austin. Our marquee summit in New York City cultivates a community of 300+ South Asian creatives features robust panels, workshops, fireside chats, keynotes, pitch-offs, an indie-biz marketplace, networking mixers and other activations & experiences. We collaborated with more than 30 brands across verticals including Meta, Instagram, Disney+, Nielsen, and JetBlue to name a few. Our 2023 Slashie Summit is taking place on May 13th 2023 in Hudson Yards, NYC.
