Salt Lake County Emergency Management

At Salt Lake County Emergency Management, we are consistently striving to make Salt Lake County a safer and less vulnerable community by preparing, creating and exercising plans, and mitigating threats. We work with the Statewide Information & Analysis Center (SIAC) at various levels on information gathering and sharing, working with all local first responders in being better prepared through collaboration and teamwork and working with all stakeholders in creation of a more robust and resilient Salt Lake County. Additionally, through the creation and maintenance of meaningful relationships with our partners and stakeholders, we will be better prepared during times of crisis and disaster. These relationships will better enable us to get the resources needed for our personnel in the field throughout the Salt Lake Valley or throughout the nation in support of our wildland firefighting crews, our Urban Search & Rescue Task Forces, or our Type III Incident Management Team (IMT).
