About BC Bobsled & Skeleton Association

Until 2006 there was only one bobsleigh track in Canada, located at Canada Olympic Park, in Calgary, home of the 1988 Olympic Winter Games. This meant that most athletes, coaches, volunteers and officials came from the surrounding areas. In 2006, with the opening of the Whistler Sliding Centre, the BC Bobsleigh and Skeleton Association was created in order to manage the provincial development of both sports.
