In our state-of-the-art greenhouse in Heerhugowaard, the Netherlands, we grow finished kalanchoe plants in a highly automated and sustainable way. We use biological crop protection and hold the MPS-Florimark Production certification, ensuring a responsible approach to cultivation. This facility also serves as a practical testing ground where growers can experience our varieties firsthand. Our story Our roots go back to 1946 when founder Cor Slijkerman started cultivating vegetable crops. With the rise of greenhouses, he transitioned to growing gerberas and pot chrysanthemums. Under the leadership of his son, Johan Slijkerman (2nd generation), the company made the switch to Kalanchoë, and in 2001, we began breeding our own varieties. Today, Stefan Slijkerman (3rd generation) leads our internationally operating company, continuing our legacy of passion, quality and innovation in the world of Kalanchoë.
