Founded in the Bronx, NYC, slowcocoa handcrafts chocolate that tells a story – from plants to personality, cocoa beans to compost. Our zero-waste, vegan, gluten-free and kosher products inspire customers to savor the nuances in each bite, reimagining chocolate as a tool for mindfulness through an exploration of flavor, curated poetry pairings, and a commitment to direct-trade farmer partnerships. We source cacao beans via direct trade from smallholder farmers in Latin America – cacao-growing regions as close to us in NYC as possible, in order to minimize our carbon footprint and ensure sustainable farmer income beyond fair trade standards.
