The legal services industry is currently entering a phase of deep transformation. Increasingly, tasks are being automated and key services commoditised. Clients are empowered and professionals must therefore focus on creating, and sustaining, value-added services.
This evolution has yielded a new ecosystem for the industry, composed of lawyers, entrepreneurs, investors, academics and professionals. Unfortunately, few students and young professionals have had the opportunity to be exposed to this ongoing transformation. It is therefore essential to provide the younger generation with a platform where they can connect, learn and get inspired from their peers, professionals and academics.
At the regional level, this student chapter is that platform. Together with the other hubs of Switzerland, it forms a cross-country network known as SLTA NextGen. The latter being an initiative of the Swiss LegalTech Association (SLTA), a neutral, non-profit association recognized as the industry representative and granted with a consultative voice on relevant legislations.
