SLW was founded in 2012 as Silver Lake Waterman, a growth strategy within Silver Lake, one of the world’s largest private equity firms. In 2024, we became an independent firm while maintaining a close and collaborative relationship with Silver Lake. At SLW, we partner with leading technology companies by making minority investments ranging from $10 million to over $100 million. Our approach is unique as we look to invest repeatedly throughout a company’s lifecycle, in both equity and flexible non-dilutive structures to address evolving capital needs.
