Smart Change Jakarta

Accelerating Sustainable Cities Berlin and Jakarta are teaming up in the project Smart Change to address challenges connected to Smart City and Urban Innovation, thereby opening a new chapter in their sister city partnership. Fostering also a triangular cooperation with Bangkok, the project supports the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development by accelerating digital transformation and the City 4.0 transformation strategy of Jakarta. The Smart Change project focuses on two areas: On the one hand, the further development of the city administration’s smart city and urban innovation strategy and, on the other hand, the support of a sustainable entrepreneurial ecosystem.
