Smart Solutions Canada

Smart Solutions Canada is a nonprofit organization that connects students with some of the most pressing problems in the developing world. Through our conferences, design competitions, and web/mobile incubator program, we provide students with the opportunities, tools, and experts they need to solve these problems. We've worked with organizations like Facebook, BNOTIONS, Free the Children, Amnesty International, Aga Khan Foundation, and others. Smart Solutions has 3 university chapters, each focusing on specific areas of global development: McMaster University (health), University of Waterloo (technology and entrepreneurship), and Western University (business). Our technology arm, SmartLabs, develops web and mobile applications for early stage non-profits, charities, and social enterprises in the developing world. We build teams of volunteer computer science, design, and business students to build and implement software solutions that serve a core function of our clients' operations.
